3D Jaisalmer Desert Heritage Tour
The Jaisalmer desert heritage tour is a 3-day journey curated by Rasrover Holidays. Discover the golden city of Rajasthan as you explore Sonar Qila, stroll through historic havelis, and ride camels across the Sam Sand Dunes. This package blends royal architecture, desert adventure, and cultural immersion.
Jaisalmer, often called the “Golden City,” rises from the heart of the Thar Desert like a mirage of honey-hued sandstone. Its crown jewel, the Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Qila, is one of the few living forts in the world, still home to generations of residents. Built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal, the fort’s massive walls glow golden at sunset, creating a surreal spectacle that defines the city’s charm.
The city is a treasure trove of intricate architecture. Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of five mansions, showcases exquisite carvings and mirror work that reflect the opulence of merchant life in the 19th century. Nathmal Ki Haveli, with its asymmetrical design crafted by two brothers, is a testament to artistic rivalry and craftsmanship.
